Obituary for Bernadine "Pearl" Krnaich

Bernadine “Pearl” Krnaich, 98, of Henderson, Nevada, formerly of Weirton, WV, passed away Friday, February 23, 2018 at Nathan Adelson Hospice, Las Vegas, NV. Born September 3, 1919, in Weirton, WV, she was a daughter of the late Martin and Margaret (Ticich) Karavanic. She was also preceded in death by her husband Millard Krnaich; brother Peter Karavanic and sister Violet Pandak.

Pearl was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church where she sang in the choir. She was also president of the CFU Lodge.

Pearl lived for many years next door to her relative and friend Marge Ticich, and wintered in Florida with her cousin Jeanette Brinsko.

She is survived by her son Martin (Lexie) Krnaich-Slavich of Henderson, NV; grandchildren Michael and Nicklaus Krnaich; four great-grandchildren Monica, Celina, Michaela and Kobe; nieces and nephews Kris (Karavanic) and Jim Dunlap, Tom and Ruth Karavanic, Chuck and Karen Karavanic, Sharon Pandak and Bob Ross, Michael and Jenni Pandak, Hilary Pandak and Valerie Pandak and Mark Anderson, as well as grand nieces and nephews and cousins in the U.S. and Croatia.

Resilient, generous, energetic and loving, she was truly A Pearl.

There will be no visitation. Burial services will be held at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA., at a later date.
