Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Dearest Kathy Jo, Jo Jo and Bobby:
You were blessed to have your mother at home with you for so many years! As you grew, she cared for you with all the love in the world, as she did so fantastically as well for your brother, Danny, your dad, Uncle Joe (after his stroke) and even Zedo Zdinak (when he was getting older). I was young and was always amazed how she managed everything in the house so well. Of course, one of the key factors was indeed your love and respect for her. You did everything: “One for all, and all for one!”
It has been too long since I last was in Weirton, let alone to your home. I have at least 50 years of memories of going to your home for birthday parties, holidays, family reunions, Baba & Zedo’s 65th Anniversary celebrations, graduation parties, Mother’s Day when Kathy Jo crowned the Blessed Mother at St. Mary’s, the special Christmas Eve traditional dinners, and especially The Fourth of July picnics with food and fireworks!
You three have done a wonderful job taking care of your mother in these last years of her life and God will bless you abundantly for that!
I am certain that your mom is so happy to be with your dad again, she had missed him terribly for so very many years – they were a special couple.
I will not be able to travel to Weirton to be with you at this time. Know that from the moment that I heard of your mom’s death, I have been praying for all of you. God will watch over you always and heal the pain of loss that you are feeling.
Maybe one day you three can take a trip to Florida and you can visit at my home (I have plenty of rooms and a pool) and we can all go to Disney! I know Kathy Jo is retired but Joe and Bobby, if you get vacation from work, we might be able to make it happen. Know you are always welcome!
Love and prayers, Your cousin, Staś

  2. Kathy, Bobby, and Joe, you were blessed with a wonderful mother. I am fortunate to have had her for my Godmother. She even bought my christening dress, which I used for my children and grandchildren.
I will miss her laughter, jokes, and her humble and kindness she shared all of these years.
I know she had to be ready on time for my dad to take her to church, and she always made him cut the turkey for her on holidays. She must have had a wonderful welcome in heaven yesterday with her family.
I love all of you, and know that she loved you very much, and you were a blessing to her.
    Love and God Bless,
    Mickey

  3. I have nothing except happy & pleasant memories of Aunt Katie.. When we lived on West Street and my Mom had to go to work at WSX, Aunt Katie used to watch over us.. Over the years, I just loved going to her house on holidays, special events and sometimes for no reason at all.. We were always greeted with love…..and plenty of food.. Over the years qs I raised my own family and had special situations at home, I didn’t see Aunt Katie very often, but when I did she always had a kiss and hug for her “Jacky.”” She will be missed, but I wil;l always have these memories of Aunt Katie..
Eternal Rest grant unto her, O Lord..and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in Peace,,”
