Catherine “Katy” Rosohac, 79, of Weirton died Wednesday June 6, 2018, at her home. Born on July 15, 1938, in Steubenville, OH, Catherine was the first born to the late Michael Paul and Anna Mae Borecky Petrisko. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Andrew Rosohac on September 4, 2005; their infant daughter, Karen Rosohac; her brothers, Michael and Albert Petrisko. Katy was a homemaker who kept a very impeccable and well decorated home. She used her artistic talents as she enjoyed painting and making ceramics. She and her husband loved to travel. She enjoyed playing cards with her card club, bowling in the bowling leagues, and cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers. She will always be remembered for all of her volunteer hours she spent at Weirton Medical Center. She was the Past President of the Weirton Medical Center Auxiliary, and formerly served on the Weirton Medical Center Board of Trustees. For a time she was employed in the Weirton Medical Gift Shop. She will be remembered with love by her two sons, Robert (Bambi) Rosohac of Weirton, WV, and Gary (Melissa) Rosohac of New Cumberland, WV; her two brothers, John (Kim) Petrisko of Wintersville, OH and Ted (Jackie) Petrisko of Charlotte, NC; her sister, Caroline Savinell of Bloomingdale, OH; her pride and joy her grandchildren, Jessica and Isaac Rosohac, and Angela (Kevin) Knopf. Visitation will be 1-3 and 5-7 Friday, at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street Weirton, where funeral services will be held 10 AM Saturday. Rev. Fr. Dennis R. Schuelkens, Jr. will preside. Interment will follow at Saint Paul’s Cemetery, Weirton.
