Cecelia Irene Watkins

Cecelia Irene Watkins, 105, of Weirton, passed away Monday, May 28, 2018 in Wyngate Senior Living. She was born May 12, 1913 in Carnegie, PA, a daughter of the late Stanley Michael and Antonina Orwasky Zapor. She was also preceded in death by her husband’s Frank Kale and William Watkins, brothers Leonard, Marion, Stanley and Albert Zapor. Beginning her career with Ohio Bell, she worked as a telephone operator and worked her way to serve as Business Office Supervisor. She retired with 40 years of service. Cecelia was a member of Sacred Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church and the Telephone Company Pioneer. Cecelia is survived by her sister Martina Bowley of Boynton Beach, FL and sister in law, Peggy Zapor of Myrtle Beach, SC and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 12:30 pm at Sacred Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church with the Reverend Dennis R. Schuelkens, Jr. officiating.
