Charles "Chuck" Thomas Briggs

Charles “Chuck” Thomas Briggs, 71, of Zelienople, PA, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2017 in the UPMC Passavant Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. He was born November 29, 1945 in Detroit, MI, the son of the late Charles Briggs and Dorothy Yuhas. He was also preceded in death by his sister Karen Briggs Rotundo. Chuck retired from Highmark Insurance where he served as a software developer and was a veteran of the US Air Force. Chuck was always researching and learning new software programs. He was very interested in robotics and would gladly assist anyone with help on their computers. Chuck loved being around people and he always had a smile for everyone he met. He is survived by his life-long partner Jamie Ann Givens of Weirton; children Jonathon Briggs; Jennifer Briggs both of North Carolina; James Givens of Weirton; Megan (Arpan Shah) Givens of Pittsburgh and Catherine Givens of Weirton; his cousin George Yuhas of Colorado and puppy son, Frank. Cremation with private memorial service will be held at the convenience of his family. Arrangements by Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV.
