frank mateusiak
Frank B. Mateusiak, 94, of Weirton passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018 at his daughter’s home in Clinton, PA. Born January 15, 1924 in Weirton he was a son of the late Walter and Marciana Mateusiak. He was also preceded in death by three brothers Stanley, Johnny and Joe Mateusiak and five sisters Jenny Labutis, Viola Micholos, Helen Eafrati, Stella Stefanske and Mary Wenzowski. Frank was retired from National Steel cold mill where he worked as a millwright for over 40 years. He proudly served in the United States Navy during WWII. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church, as well as the VFW and the WSX 25- Year Club. Frank always took pride in his work, family, Polish heritage, and in the hobbies’ he loved. He was always known to have a beautiful lawn and the best flower displays on Weircrest. During football season, he always cheered for his favorite team, the Pittsburgh Steelers. Whether it was in the heat of the summer or the cold of the winter, he was always found enjoying ice cream and sweet treats and playing cards with family. Frank is survived by his wife of over 61 years, Patty (Amendola) Mateusiak; daughters Jennifer (Chris) Grecko of Clinton, PA and Theresa (Greg) Anderson of Frederick, MD; grand daughters Jocelyn (Steven) Ebert and Rachel Anderson and great-grandchildren Sienna and Colson. Private services will be held for the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart of Mary Church, 200 Preston Ave., Weirton, WV 26062.
