Joseph J. Tomasi, 69, of Weirton, WV passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2018, in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, in Pittsburgh, PA.
Born December 1, 1948, in Wheeling, WV he was a son of the late Joseph and Mary Yanczura Tomasi.
Joe was a truck driver with over 31 years’ experience. He hauled for Weir Cove Moving and Storage from 1977 to 2006 logging over two million miles.
He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 688, Mingo Sportsman Club, Pine Valley Sportsman Club and Mountain Top Sportsman Club. With all those memberships, it is very obvious that Joe enjoyed hunting, fishing and any activity that would allow him to be outdoors.
He will be remembered with love by his wife of 40 years, Sherry Tomasi and his brother, Edward Tomasi of TN.
Visitation will be Thursday 2-6 PM at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, where services will be held 12 noon on Friday.
Reverend Father Babu Joseph Elamturuthil will officiate.
Entombment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

My deepest condolences are extended to Joe’s family. I worked with Joe often in the shipping department at Weirton Steel. He was always friendly and fun to talk hunting and fishing with. May he Rest In Peace.
