julius husvar
Julius Thomas Husvar, 95, of Weirton, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2017 in the Brightwood Center, Follansbee, WV. He was born February 6, 1922 in Bellaire, Ohio, the son of the late Julius and Hester Husvar. He was also preceded in death by his wife Kathryn Miller Husvar on June 16, 2004; grandson Scott Tolleson and sister Eleanor Wynn. Mr. Husvar retired from Weirton Steel where he worked as a Rigger, Electrician and Mechanic and served in the United States Army during World War II. He was Methodist by faith, Past Commander of the Brilliant Power Squad, a 33rd Degree Mason and a lifetime member of the VFW. Julius is survived by his son Michael (Esther) Tolleson of Weirton; grandchildren David (Janna) Tolleson and great grandchildren Kayli and Christopher Tolleson. Visitation will be held Monday from noon until the time of funeral services at 1:00 pm at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Reverend Larry Barkley will officiate. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton.
