Levina Mary Gentile

Levina Mary Gentile, 77, of Weirton, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2017 at her home. She was born December 12, 1939 in McKinleyville, WV, a daughter of the late Harold Douglas and Eva Francis Mozingo Douglas. She was also preceded in death by her husband Larry S. Gentile, Jr., grandson Ian Rood and sister Wilda Hayes.
Mrs. Gentile was a homemaker, a member of the Weirton Church of Christ, St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church and Christian Mothers.
Levina is survived by her daughter Rita Marie (Jim) Rood of Weirton; sons Larry J. Gentile of FL, Anthony J. (Rita) Gentile of St. Clairsville, OH and Sam Gentile of TN; grandchildren Deana, Gabrielle, Anthony, Angelo, Gino and Giulio Gentile and great grandchildren Aleana and Gianna Knutsen.
In keeping with Levina’s wishes, private funeral services will be held at the convenience of her family. Arrangements are being conducted by Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton.

We were so shocked to learn of Kitty’s passing! We had just seen her a few weeks ago at the Chinese restaurant. She was always such a good friend to my parents (Frank & Ann) or “Grec” — as she always called each of them. I’m sure she and my dad are in heaven talking about body-building and weight lifting –like they did in the “old days”! May your wonderful memories give you peace.
