marie bonnizzio
Marie Simbanin Bonnizzio, 98, went to be with the Lord peacefully in her home on Thursday, August 9. Marie was born in Jerome, Pennsylvania on October 22, 1919. She was preceded in death by her husband, the love of her life, Dominic Bonnizzio, brothers, George, Paul and John Simbanin and her sister Susan Schell. Marie was a strong woman of faith and had a positive impact on everyone she met. Marie was a homemaker and was very active at the St Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Weirton, WV where she served as Extraordinary Minister of the Holy Eucharist. She became heavily involved with St Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church upon moving to Palm Coast, Fl in 1986. There she was a member of the church choir. She was past president of the Christian Mothers, and a member of the Nifty Niners golf group. She is survived by her son, Paul (Chip) Bonnizzio of Palm Coast, FL, and her daughter Louise Bonnizzio Boyce of Imperial, PA; granddaughter Jenna Boyce Cope (Husband Andy) of Houston, PA; grandsons, David Boyce of Burgettstown, PA and Josh Boyce(wife Jessie) of Seminole, FL; her sister Sandy Pagur Hogan(Husband Blaise) of Weirton, WV, and many nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by many. A memorial service was held on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 1 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic church in Palm Coast. The family received friends beginning at 12 noon. A memorial service in Weirton, WV, will be held September 1, 2018 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. Geez, I would have drove into Weirton for this. I am so sorry. We need to catch up. I live in the state of Delaware now. Cindy lives in Virginia, 2 hours from me. Family is Family. I miss you.
