rick sekersky
Rick Sekersky of Denver, CO, died unexpectedly on January 7, 2018, at the age of 49 from a pulmonary embolism. Rick was passionate about life, proud father of his son Carson, and kind hearted and generous. His final act of generosity was to be a giver of Life through organ donation. Rick is survived by his son Carson Sekersky, mother JoAnn Sekersky and sister Renee Zung (Jonathan), nephew Andrew Zung and niece Ashley Zung of Raleigh, NC. He was predeceased by his father Ronald Sekersky. Rick was born and raised in Weirton, WV. He graduated from Weir High School in 1986. He attended Arizona State University on a scholarship from the Weirton Key Club and was a proud brother of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Rick was employed as a Field Solution Architect for CDW and enjoyed his work and the support of his caring co-workers. He was a dedicated Steelers fan and loved to wave his Terrible Towel. We will miss Rick’s witty sense of humor, kind heartedness and generous spirit. Family and friends will be received Saturday, May 5, 2018 from 2 until the 5 PM Memorial Service at Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. Reverend Larry Barkley will officiate.
