Ronald Louis “Ron” Elliott, 46, of Weirton, West Virginia, passed away Sunday, August 20, 2017 in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was born December 24, 1970, in Weirton, son of Harold and Mary Ann Rosnick Elliott of Weirton. Ron graduated from Weir High School in 1989 where he was a proud member of the WHS football team. Currently working as chef for the Crooked Dock in Wellsburg, Ron was a former health inspector for Hancock County. He was a member of the Hancock County Sportsman’s Club and a fan of WVU Mountaineers, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Pittsburgh Penguins. He was an outdoorsman who loved to fish. A compassionate, loving man, Ron had a great sense of humor, loved to sing and enjoyed preparing Serbian dishes for his friends and family. He also enjoyed attending concerts and especially enjoyed the music of The Grateful Dead, Beatles, Pink Floyd and The Doors. When his son, Patrick, was younger, Ron helped coach soccer and was his tee ball coach for the Weirton Baseball Association. In addition to his parents, Ron is survived by his wife Marla Louise Misch (Elliott) whom he married July 18, 2010; son Patrick Elliott; step-son Gabriel Clymer; step-daughter Ella Jennings all of Weirton, West Virginia; sister Holly (Randy) Horn of Clover, South Carolina; nephew Michael Horn and niece Baylee Horn. He will be greatly missed by his cat, Louie. Visitation will be held Wednesday 2-8 p.m. at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Additional visitation will be held Thursday from noon until the 1 p.m. funeral service at the Paris Presbyterian Church. The Reverend Tara Fanton will officiate. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV 26062.

  9. My heart is been torn in two these last couple of days. Just knowing that I won’t get to talk to you again stinks!
