Valeria Adamczyk

Valeria Adamczyk, 84, of Weirton, WV, passed away Monday, April 23, 2018, in Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville, OH. Born on December 6, 1933, in Holliday’s Cove, WV, Valeria was a daughter of the late Allan and Violet Krasowski Mark. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry (Hank) Adamczyk on January 8, 2017; and her son, Brad Adamczyk on January 22, 1998. Prior to her marriage, Valeria worked at the Bank of Weirton. On August 7, 1957 she married Hank and they started their family having four sons. Valeria took care of the home while her husband worked 43 years at Weirton Steel. In her free time she enjoyed playing cards, bingo, and the slot machines. A catholic by faith, she was also a member of the AARP and volunteered her time with Meals on Wheels. She will be remembered as one of the strongest women who ever lived. She is survived by three sons, Brian of Weirton, Bruce and Danielle of Grafton, WV and Brent of Pittsburgh, PA; a daughter in law, Janet Adamczyk of Weirton, WV; a brother, Allan “Butch” and Rose Mark of Weirton; grandchildren, Jacob, Tara, Zak, Lauren, Kaitlyn, and Jocelyn Adamczyk; a great grandson, Parker James, and a great granddaughter, Alliona Wagner. In accordance with her family's wishes, there will be no visitation. A memorial mass will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the care of the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton.
