Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I don’t have the words needed to make this heart breaking time any easier or lighten up the pain so many heart will forever carry. My memory of Bill is of hero and I am envious. The weekend of the Geneva trip Bill and Lynne was at this truck stop dinner, at the “half way stop”. Bill came out of the restaurant unaware that his his boys just pulled in.. he came strutting out the door with his sexy blonde hanging on his arm, and he was on top of the world. So much pride in his eyes when he looked at the woman he gave his heart, his name and made family with. It was young love, growing old and still full of pride. At the end of the trip, not even half way home the weather changed from tank tops to coveralls. Unprepared the weather got the best of us. We parked the bikes in Gerard Ohio, at his retired trucker buddies home. As I sat with my daughter, Devin, I took in the moment. The start of the trip was tank tops and sunshine, 4 days later we came home in freezing rain, and hail. Bill came to the rescue and prepared to bring 6 of us home. That day Bill sat at the table talking about trucking and memories with his buddy, but he hung onto every word Billy and Boo spoke. They sat there for a couple of hours laughing and enjoying each other’s company. Bill wasn’t just a proud husband, but a proud father for the 2 awesome young men he created and put here for everyone to enjoy. I seen a man that was more than a hero in his boys eyes, he was a mentor, a friend, he was a man that loved his family and taught his boys to appreciate and respect what friendships they earned. Bill is a man that was proud to serve his family and be their everything. I am envious, I meant a hero that weekend that changed one woman’s life and gave so much meaning to 2 of the beautiful guys I have ever called friends. I got to meet Billy and Boo’s hero, their Dad.
