Robert Charles “Bobby” Tortis, 57, of Weirton died Thursday July 12, 2018, at the Weirton Medical Center. Born on November 29, 1960, in Weirton, WV, Robert was the son of Pauline Orologas Tortis of Weirton, and the late Robert D. Tortis. In addition to his father, Robert’s twin boys Brent and Brandon preceded him in death in 1992. A 1979 graduate of Weir High School, Robert worked as a transloader at Hi-Crush, in Mingo Jct., Ohio, an innovative leader in proppant and logistics services to the North American Petroleum industry. When he was not at work, Bobby enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, fishing, hunting, camping, and gardening. He was the Commander of the Sons of the American Legion Post 10, and a member of the Weirton Dart League. Most of all Bobby will be remembered for his heart of gold, willing to help others in need, and spoiling his beloved grandchildren. In addition to his mother, Pauline Orologas Tortis, Bobby will be remembered with love by his son, Robert Daniel Tortis of Weirton, WV; his sister, Tina Marie Tortis; his loving grandchildren, Lily Tortis, Ava Tortis and Robert Charles Tortis, II; family members, and numerous friends. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Monday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV, where funeral services will take place at 8 PM. Pastor Curt Moser will preside.   1. Hunting on my farm in Hundred Wv. When Bob went to the woods and forgot to put shells in his gun. The deer were running him over and he was yelling.
