James G. Bond

James G. “Butch” Bond, 60, of Weirton, died Monday, June 14, 2004 at his home. Born May 18, 1944 in Steubenville, OH, he is the son of the late Edward G. and Virginia (Haldeman) Bond. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Robert Bond. After 25 years of service, Butch retired from Weirton Steel. He also served his country in the US Army. Butch’s survivors include his wife Bonny (Diederich) Bond of Weirton whom he married October 18, 1969; daughters Kristin Bond of Jacksonville, FL and Erin L. Paris and her husband Mike of Weirton; brothers Truman E. Bond of Manassas, VA and David L. Bond of Binghamton, NY; sister Sherry L. Ortwein of Allentown, PA and grandchildren Jordan and Chase Paris both of Weirton. Friends will be received Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton.
