Thomas "Al" Archer, 77, of Weirton died Saturday October 25, 2014. Born on May 23, 1937, in Sisterville, WV, Al was a son of the late Earl and Emma Violet Haught Archer. He was also preceded in death by his wife and soul mate, Carolyn A. "Kiki" Ludewig Archer; his brother, Richard "Bruce" Archer and his sister, Peggy Sue Zatezalo. A graduate of Weir High School, Al retired from Signode Corporation after 37 years of service, where he was a tie table operator. In his free time Al enjoyed his motorcycles and his antiques. He will always be remembered for his kind and gentle ways. He was a joy to be around. He is survived by his daughter, Michelle and Rick DiFederico of Hopedale, OH; his son, Scott and Missy (Panko) Archer of Weirton, WV; his two sisters, Carole Harlan of Sarasota, FL and JoAnn and Eugene English of Oberlin, OH; wonderful neighbors, and many loving nieces and nephews including Tom Harlan. Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 PM Wednesday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton. His funeral service will be conducted immediately following the visitation on Wednesday at 8 PM at the funeral home. At Al's request, he will be cremated. His cremated remains along with his wife's cremated remains will be placed together in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the www.afsp.org.   3. Mick and Scott, your dad was the kindest, gentlest dad in our neighborhood. Always made time for all us kids. So many memories with your family — riding in the dune buggy or mustang convertible, swimming in the pool, playing basketball, playing cards, and camping out in the backyard.
