Vasilia “Bessie” Mousadis, 86, of Weirton, died Friday, December 06, 2002 at the Weirton Medical Center. She was born April 23, 1916 in Chios, Greece, the daughter of the late John and Maria Caviris Siderakis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Mousadis, one brother and four sisters. Vasilia was a homemaker and a member of the All Saints Greek Orthodox Church. She was also a member of the All Saints Ladies Philoptochos Society, All Saints Senior Citizens, Aghia Fotini Society and the Aghia Markella Society. Surviving are her sons James Mousadis and his wife Effie of Weirton and Jack Pete Mousadis and his wife Antoinette of Downers Grove, Illinois; daughters Mary Popovich and her husband Michael of Weirton and Claudette Frangopoulos and her husband Victor of Racine, Wisconsin; brothers Lambros Siderakis of Mineola, NY, Matthew and Nick Siderakis both of Chois, Greece; grandchildren Maria Rivest, Victor Frangopoulos, Renee Haefs, John & Jimmy Mousadis and Christopher Popovich; and 5 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held 7:00 – 9:00PM on Saturday and 1:00 – 3:00PM and 7:00 – 9:00PM on Sunday at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Additional visitation will be held on Monday, December 9 at 11:00AM until the 12:00PM service at the All Saints Greek Orthodox Church, 3528 West Street, Weirton. Rev. Fr. Terry J. Linos will officiate. Interment will follow at Chestnut Ridge Cemetery, Florence, PA.
