Desanka ''Dessie'' Lazich

Desanka “Dessie” Lazich, 94, of Weirton, died Wednesday, July 10, 2002, at the Weirton Geriatric Center. Dessie was born on July 15, 1907 in Kansas City, KS, the daughter of the late Mile and Mildred Hadyn Tepsic. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Steve on October 15, 1996;her son, William Lazich; her daughter, Mildred Mikita; her brother, Peter Tepsic;her sisters, Martha Maravich, Sophie Pesuit, Mildred Kosanovich, and Dorothy Davis. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Holy Resurrection Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church, and the KSS Vidovdan. She is survived by her son, Perry Lazich, and his wife, Ella of Canton, OH; eleven grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 PM Friday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV, where Pomen services will be held Friday evening, 7:30PM in the funeral home. Funeral services will be Saturday, 1:00PM in the funeral home. Interment will be at the Serbian Cemetery in Weirton.
