It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Patrick Korth, who was called home to our Lord on October 10, 2025, at WVU-Weirton Medical Center—born on August 9th, 1965, in Newtown Square, PA. He was sixty years old.
One of three children of Howard and Leonore Korth, Michael developed a unique charm and easy-going nature that endeared him to family and friends alike. He graduated from Cardinal O’Hara High School in Springfield, PA, in 1983, and went on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Wheeling Jesuit University in 1988.
Michael and his family nourished their faith at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church
Michael’s career in accounting spanned several years, as he lent his expertise to the Melon Bank Corporation before dedicating many years to the D’Anniballe Security Company. He was known for his steady demeanor, reflecting an attitude of going with the flow that made him a dependable friend and colleague.
Michael was never one to rock the boat; instead, he embraced life’s adventures with open arms. He had a love for Classic Rock, which often provided his days with music from his youth.
In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his brother Joseph Korth.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Diana DiBacco-Korth, whom he married on June 9, 1991, his daughters, Alexia Korth and her fiance, Kevin, of Columbus, Isabella Korth, and Nadia Korth, both of Weirton; his sister Leonore Hinfey (Michael), his sister-in-law, Donna Korth; and many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, October 16th at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church at 10 am, California Ave. Weirton.
Reverend Dennis R. Schuelkens, Jr., will preside.
Burial will follow in Saint Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Michael’s memory to St. Joseph the Worker grade school, Madonna High School, where his daughters attended school, 150 Michael Way, Weirton, WV. 26062.
