  6. Mrs. Peckins — or as I always called you, Patty.
I’ve known you since I was a student at Indian Creek in 2004, and from that moment on, you remained a constant presence throughout my life.

You weren’t just a teacher to me — you were a mentor, a guide, and truly a second mom. You always pushed me to succeed, and a few times gave me the much-needed “hit over the head” to straighten me out. You looked out for me when I was young, always had my back, and never stopped believing in me.

You gave your heart and soul to so many people, and I was incredibly fortunate to be one of them. Even through my college years, you were still there whenever I needed anything. When I moved away from the Valley and began my law enforcement career in Baltimore, and later in Montgomery County, Maryland, you remained one of my biggest supporters — always calling or texting, offering advice, encouragement, and your unforgettable humor.

You never stopped checking in, especially on my wife and our growing family, calling around the births of all three of our children. Most recently, when my grandmother passed away, you offered your home to me so I wouldn’t have to make such a long drive — a gesture that speaks perfectly to who you were.

You would give the shirt off your back without hesitation. You cared deeply, loved fiercely, and made a lasting difference in countless lives. You were a huge part of mine, and I will forever be grateful that God placed you in my life. Thank Patty for always being there for me . Your last text to me was “Love you Son, Be safe” I know you’ll be around as a guardian angel.

    Love you Patty.

  17. Candle Selection 7To Patty’s Beloved Family,the Crooked
I have known Patty since first grade at St. Joseph’s. All through grade school and high school she was truly a gift. Her pleasant personality, compassion for others and a . caring made it a joy to be around her. The last time I saw her was in 2015 when our class held a get-together at the Crooked Dock. She sat next to me as we shared stories about our lives. Out of all the classmates who were there I enjoyed her presence most of all. I remember thinking what a blessing it was for her and I to be friends since first grade. Patty, you will forever be in my thoughts and prayers. The impression you left with me will always be sacred.
