It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Geraldine Kaye Harbaugh, who departed this life peacefully in her home on April 27, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on September 29, 1944, in Palestine, West Virginia, she was a daughter of Perry and Alice Kearn Westfall.
A devoted homemaker, Geraldine found joy in nurturing her family and embracing the blessings of life. A woman of unwavering faith, she was an active member of the Oakland Presbyterian Church, where she deepened her spiritual journey. Additionally, she served with dedication in the Church of the Women United.
Geraldine was known for her generosity of spirit and her willingness to share her wisdom when sought. Throughout her lifetime, she found great joy in rescuing dogs, becoming a beloved caretaker to her four-legged friends, including Bo, Molly, and Trixie, who will miss her dearly.
Her adventurous spirit led her on memorable cruises throughout the Caribbean, enriching her life with cherished cultural experiences.
Family was the cornerstone of Geraldine’s existence. She adored her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, making it a priority to attend every birthday and graduation, celebrating their milestones whenever they maybe. Her green thumb flourished in her flower garden, a reflection of her nurturing spirit, and her Thanksgiving stuffing will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all.
In addition to her parents, Geraldine was preceded in death by her twin brother Gerald Westfall, and brothers Gilford, Donald, Bub, Merkle, and Dallas Westfall, sisters, Edith McGee, Madeline Deem, Marjorie Troy, and June Ray.
Geraldine is survived by her devoted husband, Mark Harbaugh of Weirton whom she married on November 5, 2011, daughters Darlene (Joey) Haught of Weirton and Melinda Vuiller and her fiance’ Dennis, of McDonough, GA., and son Seth (Diana) Harbaugh of Latrobe, PA., grandchildren Zachary (Rebecca) Vuiller, Sydney (Jerry) Richards, Emily (Bruce) Gurrera-Edgell, Anthony (Chelsey) Gurrera, Luka Haught, Maggie Robinson and Jack Robinson, great-grandchildren Luna Richards, Oliver Varlas, Easton Vuiller, Daisy Gurrera and sister Betty Leasure.
Friends are invited to visit Geraldine’s family on Monday, May 4, 2026, from 4- 7pm at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Where her Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 11:00 am.
Pastor Randall Krebs will officiate.
Entombment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Geraldine’s name to the Oakland United Presbyterian Church, 30 Swearingen Rd, Weirton, WV, 26062.

Her devotion in Christian service, serving as treasurer for several years, her love for the Unit in always volunteering to serve on programs
in any capacity will be missed, yet remember.
