kathy nardone

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Kathy Lynn Nardone, who departed this life at her residence on Tuesday, June 2, 2026.

Born on February 14, 1952, in Wheeling, West Virginia, Kathy was a daughter of George C. and Anna Lish Folmar.

A graduate of Triadelphia High School, Class of 1970, Kathy worked for many years in the retail industry for Hill’s Department Store as a retail clerk.

She was known for her candid advice, shared generously and often unsolicited, and for her remarkable gift for storytelling. Kathy’s enchanting tales and infectious laughter will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of hearing them.

As a devoted mother, she graciously supported her sons, Emil and Matthew, attending their sporting events and celebrating their achievements with pride. Kathy was also a loving grandmother, adoring her three granddaughters and rejoicing in their milestones, never missing an opportunity to cheer them on from the stands. She was an avid animal lover, finding joy in the companionship of her beloved dog, Jax.

Kathy lived a life grounded in her Methodist faith, fostering kindness and compassion in all her endeavors.

Her beautiful flower garden reflected her nurturing spirit and deep appreciation for nature. Though a homebody at heart, she created a warm and inviting sanctuary for her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, Emil Nardone.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Dr. Emil (Patricia) Nardone of Vero Beach, FL., and Dr. Matthew (Alissa) Nardone of Weirton, grandchildren Alaire, Atia, and Arah Nardone.

Mrs. Nardone’s wish for cremation will be granted.

She will be cremated at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, Crematory, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV, 26062.

No services are planned at this time.

Kathy will be lovingly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her, and her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. May she rest in peace.

  1. Candle Selection 8It brings me comfort knowing I was able to speak with Aunt Kathy just a few days before her passing and hear that contagious laugh one last time. The last words we shared were, “I love you,” and I will always treasure that memory.

While my heart is saddened by this loss, I find peace in knowing she is reunited with her one true love, Uncle Imo. Every time we were together, she spoke of how much she missed him. Their love was timeless and never faded.

Emil and Matt, your mom adored you and was so incredibly proud of you
. She also lit up whenever she talked about her three beautiful granddaughters. The love she had for all of you was undeniable.
