Wayne Kokoskie , 67, of Weirton, WV, passed away at his residence in Overbrook Towers on June 9, 2026.
Born on December 10, 1958, in Bulger, Pennsylvania, Wayne was the twin son of Elzie Fullum and Mary Kokoskie Fullum. He was later adopted and lovingly raised by William and Rose Abbott Russell.
Wayne worked as a bricklayer throughout much of his life, taking pride in his trade and craftsmanship. In addition to his masonry work, he enjoyed painting on the side.
Wayne was preceded in death by his birth parents, Elzie and Mary Kokoskie Fullum; his adoptive parents, William and Rose Abbott Russell; his son, Anthony Schayes; and his brother-in-law, Ronald L. Thompson, Jr.
He is survived by his brothers, John Fullum and William (Arlinda) Russell; and his sister, Tina Thompson.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has been entrusted to the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home Crematory.
Following the cremation, his brother will place Wayne into his care.
Private arrangements are under the direction of the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV.
