Judith Ann “Judy” (McAbee) Reineke, 86, of Weirton, passed away on Monday September 7th, 2026 at the WVU Medicine – Weirton Medical Center.

Judy was born on April 16, 1940, in Hollidays Cove, West Virginia, a daughter of the late George Washington and Vivian Edith Wetzel McAbee.

On May 24, 1958, Judy married Harry Reineke. Together, they built a life and family that would grow to include three sons, a daughter, nine grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.

Judy devoted much of her life to caring for her home and family. She also worked outside the home as a waitress. After Harry retired from Weirton Steel, the couple embarked on a new adventure together, moving to Florida and opening a restaurant in Port St. Lucie called **Winging It**. They later returned home to Weirton.

Harry passed away on July 3, 2014, after 56 years of marriage. Judy also endured the loss of her daughter, Terri Lynn Reineke, on January 11, 2023, as well as the loss of a grandson. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two of her brothers, George and Howard McAbee.

In her quieter moments, Judy enjoyed crocheting and settling in to watch her favorite game shows on television. Florida always held a special place in her heart, and she enjoyed returning there for vacations. Proud of her Native American heritage, Judy honored that connection through her collection of Native American figurines and dream catchers.

She will be remembered with love by her three sons, Kirk Reineke, George Reineke, and Bruce (Emily) Reineke; her brother, Dennis A. (Michelle) McAbee; seven granddaughters, Kristen, Krista, Kayiliana, Karley, Karisa, Kasie, and Sailor; her grandson, Korey; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Friends and relatives will be received on Thursday from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday at the funeral home, with Pastor Randall Krebbs officiating.

Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Weirton.

Memorial contributions may be made in Judy’s memory to The Salvation Army in Weirton or Immaculate Conception Church in New Cumberland.
