Ann N. Petrovich

Ann N. Petrovich, 66, of Weirton, died Friday, January 18, 2002, at the Weirton Medical Center.
She was born March 11, 1935, in Holyoke, MA, a daughter of the late Jeremiah C. Moynihan and Nora T. McElligott Moynihan. She was also preceded in death by a brother Jeremiah Moynihan, Jr. and a sister Sis Tiffany.
Ann was a nurse’s aid at the Weirton Geriatric Center for nine years. She was a member of the Holy Resurrection Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church, Steubenville, OH.
Ann is survived by her husband, Nick Petrovich, Sr. of Weirton, whom she married September 9, 1956; three sons, Daniel Petrovich of Allentown, PA, Nick Petrovich, Jr. of Weirton, and John Petrovich of Chicago, IL; one brother, James Moynihan of Easthampton, MA; two sisters, Ellen Myrick of Easthampton, MA, and Sandra Millen of Belchertown, MA; and three grandchildren, Alexander, Jaqueline, and Zachary Petrovich.
Visitation will be 1-9 PM Sunday at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV, where funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday. Burial will follow at Serbian Cemetery, Weirton.

My sympathy to all of Ann’s family. I know that you will all miss her greatly. Ann and I met in the mid 1980’s. She and I were about the same age and we both had raised our families. She had a huge heart and a great sense of humor. Her devotion to her family was an inspiration to me. It has been many years since we have been together, but she has always been in my thoughts and prayers. You all were blessed to have Ann as your wife and mother.

Dear Dan and Family, Our sincerest condolences on the departure of your precious mother. Though I only met her briefly during your parents visit to New York in 1980, I can remember that she was a strikingly kind and gracious woman, as well as a loving mother. I remember her fondly, and am glad to have had the opportunity to meet her. Our family’s prayers go out to you and your whole family as you all adjust to such loss.
