duane will,

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Duane David Will, Jr., who left this world on October 1, 2026, at his residence.

Born on November 29, 1981, in Point Pleasant, WV, he was the son of Duane and Brenda Sue Browning Will, Sr.

David lived a life filled with love, faith, and a passion for cooking. A graduate of Point Pleasant High School, he furthered his education with both undergraduate and master’s degrees from Marshall University.

David was a chef, having honed his skills at notable establishments such as The Wheel in Wheeling and TJ’s Sports Bar. His love for food was only rivaled by his devotion to his faith, as he served as the regular organist at his church, sharing his musical gifts with his community. David’s deep appreciation for Christian music greatly enriched the lives of those who gathered to worship.

Family was at the heart of David’s life. He cherished moments spent with his beloved children, Makaela and Seth, building lasting memories through various adventures. Together, they delighted in trips to Noah’s Ark in Cincinnati and traveled to the majestic Niagara Falls, where the helicopter ride above the thundering waters remains a highlight of their moments together.

David was preceded in death by his wife, Monica Queses Will, and his mother.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved children, Makaela Morgan and Seth Nicholas Will, and his father, Duane David Will, Sr., father-in-law, and mother-in-law, Nicholas and Bonnie Queses.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2026, from 1:00–3:00 p.m. and 5:00–8:00 p.m. through Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home at the Weirton First Church of the Nazarene, located at 475 Colliers Way, Weirton, WV 26062.

Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. My deepest love and empathy to the family of Monica and David. Only God knows why but we who have faith know that they are both in the sight of God rejoining in His presence. It is both sad but happy. We have them to intercede for us as we journey here without them. God grant us all strength and hope for all that is good. Peace and love.

  2. A kinder soul I have never met. David had a natural talent of drawing people to him through his big heart and contagious laugh and smile. I was lucky to have known him. The only thing comparable to his heart was his mind, he was one of the few people i was in awe of in his knowledge of everything, be it religion, music, or more recently weather tracking. He was my friend from the first day I met him and will be on my mind for the rest of my mind.

  3. Candle Selection 8Duane, not having known your son or daughter-in-law, but knowing you, I have no doubt they were wonderful people. Please know my heart goes out to you in this time of grief and missing. I pray for you, your grandchildren, and Monica’s family for God’s great comfort. Please accept my deepest sympathies.

  4. Candle Selection 2David was one of my son’s teachers. My son was made to feel like family. I loved how David always had a smile in his face and tried to make the best of all situations. Will be missed. My deepest condolences to the family.

  5. Candle Selection 2My heartfelt sympathy for the entire family. I have many memories of David as a child. He was always smiling. May God wrap each of you in His arms giving strength and peace now and the days to come. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

  6. Lee and Amy Thompson says:

Candle Selection 2Duane and Brenda were my Grandmother’s next door neighbors and later mine. I remember when David was born. He was always so smart and funny. I remember he always came to visit my Grandmother, even calling her Grandma. I watched him grow up and when he married Monica, we knew he’d met his soulmate. I always looked forward to them coming to visit because they were just so fun and interesting to talk to. The last time they came down we were talking about how we both had Yorkies. I remember Makaela asking if she could take a picture of me with mine. Such a wonderful family. It’s so difficult to understand why such terrible things happen to such good people. Our prayers go out to the entire Will and Queses families.

  7. I will forever miss you my funny little brother.
