
Nancy Pauline McLain

Nancy Pauline McLain, 86, of Weirton, died Thursday, September 11, 2003 at the Weirton Medical Center. She was born March 13, 1917 in Pennsboro, WV, daughter of the late Clarence and Sula Ireland Riggs. Nancy was also preceded in death by her son, Randolph E. McLain, in 1950.
For 20 years Nancy worked as a server in the cafeteria of Weir High School. She was a homemaker and a member of the Weirton Heights Memorial Baptist Church, the Weirton Chapter 147 Order of the Eastern Star and served as Past President of the Liberty Elementary School PTA and Weir High Band Parents.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph McLain of Weirton, whom she married January 22, 1938; her daughter, Barbara Towles and her husband Charles of Rockville, MD; 2 grandchildren, Sarah Towles Fowler and John Stokley Towles and 2 great-grandchildren, Samuel McLain Fowler and Susannah Corrine Fowler.
Friends will be received Friday from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton where additional visitation will be held Saturday from 10:00AM until the 11:00AM funeral services. Rev. Bill Stout will preside.
Weirton Chapter 147 O.E.S. services will be held 7:30PM Friday at the funeral home.
Interment will be at the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Weirton.
