John Greco
Owner
John Greco is a third-generation owner of the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home and has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer since 1988. He holds dual licenses in West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, and is a Certified Crematory Operator.
John is deeply involved in his community, serving as President of the West Virginia Funeral Directors and Crematory Operators Association and as Vice-Chairman of the Weirton Medical Center Board of Trustees. His past leadership roles include Chairman of the Weirton Salvation Army Advisory Board, Campaign Chairman for Weirton United Way in 2012, Chairman of Weirton Junior Achievement, and charter member of the Weirton Heights Rotary.
In recognition of his community contributions, John was inducted into the Weirton Madonna High School Hall of Fame in 2014.
Professionally, John is highly regarded and consistently ranked among the top one percent of funeral directors in the United States by the Funeral Service Research Group for providing exceptional value to families. An active member of Selected Independent Funeral Homes, he travels nationwide to share and expand his expertise with other funeral service professionals.
In his personal life, John enjoys spending time with his daughters, connecting with friends, staying active through exercise, golfing, trail riding, and cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers. Above all, John finds his greatest fulfillment in helping others.
