Patrick J. Griffin Jr., 62 of Weirton passed away Saturday January 27, 2007 at the Weirton Medical Center. He was born March 23, 1944 in Pittsburgh, PA, the son of the late Patrick and Lucy Griffin.
Patrick retired from the Weirton Steel Company where he worked in the Machine Shop as a machinist. He was a Vietnam Veteran in the US Army and was a retired Communication Chief. He was a member of St Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, the Weirton Masonic Lodge and the Scotish Rite of Wheeling.
He is survived by his wife Joyce Mankowski Griffin of Weirton; daughter Amy Hatfield and her husband David of Weirton and his grandson Alex Hatfield of Weirton.
Visitation will be Monday from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St, Weirton, WV. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be Tuesday, 10:00AM at St Joseph the Worker Church, Weirton, WV.
Entombment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, where Military services will be conducted by the American Legion Post 10 and the Weirton Honor Guard.
