Alexander Fiocca

Alexander Fiocca, 90, of Weirton died Saturday December 27, 2003, at the Weirton Medical Center. He was born on September 19, 1913, in Fagnano Alto, Italy, the son of the late Dante and Anna Domenica Colista Fiocca. He was also preceded in death by a brother and 2 sisters. Alexander retired from Starvaggi Industries, where he worked in construction. He also was a self employed contractor. During World War II, Alexander was a sergeant in the Italian Army. He was a member of the Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, ISDA, and the K of C 3734, AARP. He is survived by his wife, Nella Notarantonio Fiocca, whom he married on September 9, 1945; two sons, Dante Fiocca of Columbus, OH, and Maurice Fiocca and his wife Jamie of Findlay, OH; a sister, Giacinta Lely of Italy; four grandchildren, Michelle, Jennifer, Nicholas, Dante Fiocca; a great granddaughter, Isabella Fiocca. Visitation will be 3-5 & 7-9 PM Monday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. Knights of Columbus Rosary will be recited 7 PM Monday in the funeral home. Funeral liturgy with mass will be celebrated 10 AM Tuesday at Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at Saint Paul Cemetery.
