Andrew S. (Andy) Rujak, 90, of Weirton, passed away Wednesday evening September 9, 2009 at the Weirton Medical Center. He was born December 4, 1918 in Weirton, the son of the late Stephen and Anna Bodnar Rujak. His brothers, Steve, Mike, John, Paul and Albert Rujak and his sisters Anna Podeszwa and Mary Agnes Rujak also preceded him in death. Andy retired from the Weirton Steel Company where he worked in the Tin Mill Department as an inspector with over 40 years of service. He was a member of the WSX 25 year club and served his country in the US Army Infantry during WWII. Andy is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Ann McCaffery Rujak of Weirton; his son Philip Rujak of Weirton, WV; his daughters Andrea Fusco and her husband Nick of Charleston, SC and Mindy Fuchs and her husband David of Coldwater, Michigan; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren; his sister Margaret Rojak of Weirton, WV and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday from 2-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St, Weirton, WV. Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10AM Saturday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, Weirton, WV. The Reverend Father Gettsinger will preside. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions can be made to the Weirton United Way, 3205 Pennsylvania Ave, Suite 3, Weirton, WV 26062 .

He was always so friendly and had a kind word for me whenever I saw him. I’ll keep you all in my prayers. Cindy

  5. To my old friend Phil, I am very sorry Phil about your father’s passing. Your father seemed like a very nice man Phil even though I didn’t know him as well as I knew you. When I was a Paper Boy for the Weirton Daily Times, I thought it was so nice of him to give me extra bags and rubber bands to help me keep up the supplies for my papers. I still thank him very much for his kindness to me there.
