Anna Beth Potts of Burgettstown passed away peacefully with her family by her side after a lengthy illness on Monday, July 5, 2021, at Weirton Medical Center; she was 60 years old. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA., on March 19, 1961, the eldest daughter to Audra Luella Smith Corso and the late August Sam Corso, Sr. Anna graduated from Burgettstown High School in 1980. Anna loved being on her family’s farm. You would often find her spending time with their horses, milking cows, playing cards with her mother, or just enjoying the experience of farm life. Her family said that Anna had the biggest heart of all of the siblings. She would give you the shirt off her back without hesitation. On October 13, 1992, she married the love of her life, David Neil Potts; her sister Kathy commented that she and David had the best marriage of all the family. A homemaker, David, expressed how Anna took care of him for almost thirty years. Their passion for the great outdoors were aspects of their life they enjoyed sharing. Their friends would often find them in Butler on Friday nights at Lernerville Speedway, watching the dirt track races, or at Raccoon State Park, trying to catch the first big bass of the season. In addition, one of the jobs she had throughout her life was working in the produce section at Jodikinos. Her sister Patty recalls that Anna would stop by their homes on the way home from work with fresh produce on certain days of the week, making sure they ate their vegetables. In addition to her father, Anna was preceded in death by a brother and sister, Paul and Darla Corso. Cherishing her memory is her husband of twenty-nine years, David, her mother Audra, brothers Mark (Helen) Corso of New Cumberland and August Corso Jr., of Burgettstown, sisters Gina Corso of Steubenville and her partner Lacy Johnson, Kathy Neverly of Burgettstown, Patty (Joe) McCombs of Weirton, Bonita (Dale) Engle of Greensburg, PA, nephews, Mark, Harold, Nick, Troy (Ashlynn) Corso, Joseph.
