Anna Hicks Cullen, 95, of Weirton, formerly of New Cumberland, WV, died Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at the Weirton Geriatric Center. She was born May 29, 1909 in Altoona, PA, a daughter of the late John and Anna (Moeslie) Glauser. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Shields Cullen; her brother, John Glauser; and her sister, Verna Irvin. Anna worked as a clerk at Marlins Shoe Store and Marantz Department Store and also as a traffic controller for W.E.I.R. She was a member of the New Cumberland Rebekah Lodge, Ruth Circle, and Weirton Toast Mistresses. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and taught Sunday school for the Kindergarten class. Anna also participated in Meals on Wheels and Story Hour at the Mary H. Weir Library. Anna is survived by her daughter, Carol Bloomer and her husband Jim of Weirton; three grandchildren, Alisa Bibbee and her husband Don of Weirton, Jim Bloomer of New Cumberland, and Matthew Bloomer and his wife Pam of Belle Vernon, PA; two great grandchildren, Jordan Bibbee and Nicolette Bloomer; one niece, Jeanne Krivak and her husband Joe of Bowie, MD; and two nephews, Bill Irvin and his wife Sharon of Weirton and Dr. John Irvin and his wife Judy of Wintersville, OH. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Additional visitation will be Friday from 10 AM until time of funeral services at 11 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, Weirton. Burial will follow at New Cumberland Cemetery, New Cumberland, WV.
