Anna J. Gvoyich
November 21, 1934 ~ November 20, 2007
Anna J. Gvoyich, 72, of Weirton, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at the Weirton Geriatric Center. Born November 21, 1934 in Weirton, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Susan Lisko Gvoyich. She was preceded in death by her niece Kris Gvoyich.
Anna retired from the Hancock County Schools where she worked in the Service Personnel Department and was a member of the Holy Resurrection Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church.
She is survived by her brother George Gvoyich and his wife Viola and their daughter Debrah George all of Weirton.
Private visitation and funeral services will be held Friday at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. The Very Reverend Father Rade Merick will officiate. Interment will be in the Serbian Cemetery, Weirton.

George, it’s always tough to lose a family member. I didn’t know your sister but, I wanted you to know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
Having been fortunate in being born and raised in North Weirton, it saddens me whenever I see the name of an old friend that has died. I left Weirton in 1958 but very vividly remember Anna and George Gvoyich with pleasant memories. May Anna rest in Eternal Peace and the Light of God.
