Anna M. Di Antonio, 89, of Weirton passed away on Monday, March 4, 2013 in the Weirton Medical Center. Born on November 2, 1923 in Sicily, Italy she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Angela M. Dato. She was the wife of the late James P. Di Antonio who passed away in 1993. Anna was also preceded in death by a brother Samuel Dato and two sisters Angela DeCaria and Mary Munyas. During World War II, Anna worked at Weirton Steel Corporation where she made gun shells for bullets. Mrs. Di Antonio also worked for many years in the men's department at Stone & Thomas Department Store in Weirton and was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Paul's Church, Christian Mothers, enjoyed working at the Lenten fish fry's, fall card parties, baking Easter bread, taking communion to the sick and was a volunteer at the Weirton Geriatric Center. Anna also enjoyed cooking, gardening, flowers and cleaning her home. Mrs. Di Antonio is survived by two sons James P. Di Antonio, Jr. (Ginnie) and Joseph A. Di Antonio (Cindy) and one daughter Lisa M. Barr (Gregory) all of Weirton; two granddaughters Ensign Gina M. Denjen and Allison R. Di Antonio. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4-8 pm at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St. Weirton. Funeral Litergy with Mass will be held on Thursday at 10 am at St. Paul Church, 140 Walnut St. Weirton. Entombment will be in St. Paul Cemetery.
