Anna M. Sawicki, 85, died at the Weirton Geriatric Center on Monday, December 29, 2003. She was born June 2, 1918, in New Kensington, Pa., the daughter of the late Peter and Frances (Mroczka) Jedlowski. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank J. Sawicki, on June 24, 1980; brothers, John, Walter, and Charles Jedlowski; sisters, Sophia Fedoush, Helen Rykaceski, and infant sister, Delores; and son-in-law, Charles S. Lafferty in October, 2002. Anna was a homemaker and member of St. Stanislaus Church in Steubenville, Ohio. She is survived by her children, Patricia Ann and husband Anthony Frasketi of Mineral, Virginia, Walter F. Sawicki of Steubenville, Constance M. Lafferty of Weirton, WV, Frank and his wife Sharon Sawicki of Cincinnati, Ohio; four grandchilden, Michael and his wife Roelinda Frasketi of Woodbridge, Virginia, Robert Frasketi of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Sara and Hannah Sawicki of Cincinnati, Ohio; two great grandchildren, Nina Marie and Michael Riley Frasketi of Woodbridge, Virginia. In addition she is survived by her brother, Edward Jedlowski of Cumberland, Maryland; sisters, Catherine Tadrzak of Taylor, Michigan and Elizabeth Faber of Sun City, Florida; and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, where prayer services will be held at 8:30 PM Thursday. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10:00 AM Friday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Steubenville, OH with the Monsignor George Yontz officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Steubenville, Ohio. Memorial contributions in Anna’s name may be made to St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 807 North Street, Steubenville, Ohio 43952.
