Anthony Castillo
November 28, 1925 ~ October 5, 2006
Anthony Castillo, 80, of Weirton, passed away Thursday, October 05, 2006 at the Weirton Medical Center. Born November 28, 1925 in Canton, Ohio, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Rodriguez Castillo. Anthony was also preceded in death by his brothers Jim and Richard Castillo.
With 36 years of service, Anthony retired from Weirton Steel where he worked as foreman of the structural mill. He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, WSX 25-Year Club, VFW 2716 and the Everet Maki American Legion Post 10. He served in the Merchant Marines during World War II.
Anthony’s survivors include his wife Catherine Aperfine Castillo; son Tony Joe Castillo and his wife Pam; daughter Kathy Cross Clark and her fiancé John Snyder; and sister Elaine Castillo all of Weirton; 3 grandchildren Ron Cross and his wife Kristin and Tony and Heather Castillo and 2 great-grandsons Anthony and Colin Cross.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 9 until the 10AM Funeral Liturgy with Mass at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church. Reverend Father Dean Borgmeyer will officiate. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery where military services will be conducted by the American Legion Post 10 and Weirton Honor Guard.

Ron, I was sorry to hear of your loss. Some of my best memories as a kid growing up in our neighborhood were of sitting and talking to your grandfather. He usually was sharing a funny story about his youth or some of his business adventures. He will truly be missed. God Bless you and your family.
