Antoinette A. (Ethel) Kaczmarek, 96, of New Cumberland, WV, went to her heavenly Father on Tuesday, April 08, 2014 at her home with her family at her side.
Born on July 16, 1917, in Youngstown, OH, Antoinette was a daughter of the late Karol and Catherine (Gwizdala) Sobel.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Chester S. Kaczmarek; her two brothers, Walter and Stanley Sobel; and her sister, Virginia Bennett.
Antoinette was a homemaker who enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports. She also enjoyed playing cards and traveling with her friends and family.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in New Cumberland, WV and the ICC New Cumberland Women's Club.
She is survived by her brother, Thomas (Nancy) Sobel of New Cumberland, WV; her four children, Chester (Rose) Kaczmarek of Weirton, WV, Dorothy (Bucky) Baier of New Cumberland, WV, Carol (Richard) Wycoff of Dawsonville, GA, and Richard (Lori) Kaczmarek of New Cumberland, WV; her twelve grandchildren, Ken (Michele) Kaczmarek, and Kristen (Michael) McSweeney; Judy (Marty) Mazezka , Karan (Bob) Valenti, David (Cyndi) Baier, Ranea (Bill) Daugherty, Tamara (Neal) Moynihan, Alison (John) Major, Michelle Bailey, Richard Kaczmarek, Jr., Denise (Brian) Beatty, Roxanne (Jeff) Zook; her thirty-one great grandchildren; her great-great granddaughter; and her lifelong friend Iona Urban of East Lake, OH.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 10, from 2-8pm at Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, New Cumberland, WV, on Friday, April 11, 2014 at 11:00am.
The Reverend Father Eric B. Antwi will preside.
Interment will follow in the New Cumberland Cemetery.
A Rosary will be recited 7 PM on Thursday in the funeral home.
How fortunate for all of you to have had such a wonderful mother/grandmother/loved one. She always put a smile on my face. She was a wonderful person. I’m sure she left an everlasting mark on your hearts that will be passed down for generations. She was truly blest with a long life that was shared with her beautiful family.
