Antonella Mae “Toni” Wroniak, 82, of Weirton, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2005 at the Weirton Medical Center. Born March 22, 1923, in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Panik Borkowski. Toni was also preceded in death by her husband Joseph in 1978 and sisters Wanda DeFrancis and Violet “Aunt Vic” Trupiano. Toni was a homemaker and a former cook at Sacred Heart of Mary School. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church and also served as a W.A.V.E. in the US Navy. Toni’s survivors include her sons Mitchell Wroniak and his wife Terri of Fairfield, OH and Leonard Wroniak of Weirton; daughter Christine Wroniak also of Weirton and grandchildren Amanda and Christopher Law and Taryn and Elissa Wroniak. The family will receive friends Friday 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton where a Wake Service will be held at 8:30PM. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Saturday 10AM at the Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church with Reverend Father Kent Durig presiding. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery.   2. My sincere condolences to my cousins Lenny, Mitchell, Christine, and their families. Aunt Toni left us with a million memories living on North 15th Street. Who could forget the Sunday afternoon polka parade that the entire neighborhood enjoyed? Not to mention that everyone knew when the Bucco’s got a home run!!!! The Borkowski sisters are together again!!!!!!
