It is with great sadness that the family of Barbara E. Zagula announces her passing on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at the age of 75. She was surrounded by family and friends reminiscing of her wonderful life. Barbara was born in Coolville, OH, daughter of the late Edward F. and Vesta Smith. She leaves behind her husband and Polish sweetheart of 59 years, Frank Zagula, whom she married September 12, 1959. Barbara also leaves behind her children, Elizabeth “Betty” (James) Hudson of Weirton, Frank E. Zagula of Weirton, Vicki (Dennis) Mayhew of Harrisville, WV and Marla (Matt) Klabnik of Cabot, PA. She will be remembered by her 11 grandchildren, Anthony (Michelle) Resseger, Sara (Jason) Dunfee, Brittany (Marshall) Resseger, Brianne (Robert) Resseger, Brandon Mayhew, Korey (Kayla) Mayhew, Logan (Rachel) Simon, Samantha (Brandon) Younciak, Alexander (Kyry) Bennett, Cullen Bennett, and Nathanial Bennett, 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Barbara will be missed by her siblings Charles (Dolores) Smith, Robert (Barbara) Smith, Audra Corso, Carol Bassett, and her loving sister Karen (Jerry) Anderson. She will also be remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. Barbara put her heart into everything she did. She enjoyed volunteering in her community. She had served on the Hancock County Oldtime Fair Board, WVU Extension Master Gardeners (2003 Master Gardener of the Year), Booster organizations, and Church committees. Most of all, Barbara loved taking care of her family and friends. A private service will be held at the family’s convenience. Memorial contributions may be made the Hancock County 4-H Club, 104 North 4th Street, New Cumberland, WV 26047.     We were so, so saddened to learn of Barb’s passing. She was so much fun to be around & such a good-hearted lady. I’m thankful I got to know her & call her my friend. Although I hadn’t seen her in awhile, I have some wonderful memories with her. She will be missed & never forgotten.
