Barbara K. Martin, 76, of Steubenville, OH, formerly of Weirton, passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2018 in the Carriage Inn of Steubenville. She was born May 4, 1942 in Steubenville, the daughter of the late Jennings Hayes and Ruth Haney Collins. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter Luci Ella Kay Martin.
For 20 years, Barbara worked at the former Weirton Osteopathic Hospital. And, for 17 years, she worked at Weirton Medical Center, where she served at Patient Care Technician. She was a member of the Wellsburg Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sons William (Michelle) Martin of Wellsburg, WV and Brian (Kim) Martin of Salem, OH; daughter Vickie Martin of Weirton; brother Terry (Susan) Collins of Atlanta, GA; sister Linda Rockwell of Follansbee, WV; five grandchildren; Eric Falk, Cory Martin, Bryce Young, Amber (Zach) Johnson and Brianna Martin; great-granddaughter Amelia Falk and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Friday 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV, where funeral services will be celebrated 11 AM Saturday. Reverend Larry Barkley will officiate. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton.
