Barbara L. Clancey, 72, of Weirton, beloved wife of John (Jack) Clancey passed away Thursday May 25, 2006, at Trinity West in Steubenville, OH. Barbara was born on July 9, 1933 in Empire, OH, the daughter of the late John and Josephine Yarchan Zdinak. She was also preceded in death by her infant brother Robert. Barbara spent her life loving and caring for her family, and they will miss her greatly. She loved reading, sewing, and an occasional slot machine. She is survived by her husband, Jack, whom she married on October 16, 1954; her son, John and Nancy Clancey, Jr. of Weirton; her daughters, Susan and Robert Blaschak of Chillicothe OH, and Kelly and Rob Barnhart of Reynoldsburg, OH; brothers, John and Betty, Rich and Irene Zdinak all of Pittsburgh, PA, Larry and Dottie Zdinak of Weirton, WV; grandchildren, John III and Jana Clancey, Ryan and Cary Clancey, Cassie and Carly DiAntonio, Eric and Colin Blaschak; step- grandchildren Jessica and Tommy Barnhart; great-grandson Will Clancey; and a lifelong friend who brought Jack and Barbara together, Marlene Kokochak. Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 PM Saturday at Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held 10AM Sunday at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.   12. Uncle Jack, I am so sorry for you loss. I’m at a loss of words and can only be thankful that Aunt Barbara had you by her side, as did my father when he passed. To Johnny, Susan, and Kelly, I’m sorry for your loss as well. There seem to be few words to console the grieving in the soul that one feels throught this time. I can still hear Aunt Barbara’s voice in my memories and I hope you all do as well; the voices of the ones we love always bring us peace.
