Barbara Louise Marinkovich

Barbara Louise Marinkovich, originally from Wellsburg, resided at the Weirton Geriatric Center since 2009, passed away Friday, December 25, 2020, as an in-patient at the Weirton Medical Center; she was 81 years old. She was born April 17, 1939, in Wellsburg, WV.; she was preceded in death by her parents, Marko and Josephine Kopus Marinkovich, brothers Nickolas (Irma) Joseph and Walter Marinkovich, and sister Mildred (Joseph) Gagich. Barbara was an individual who loved to walk. She enjoyed walking so much that she would be the one her family would call if any errands needed to be run. A graduate of the 1957 class Wellsburg High School, she was an avid animal lover. Left to cherish her memory is her niece Maryanne (Eugene) Capp of Wellsburg, sisters Anna (Herbert) Dewar, sister-in-law, Joann Marinkovich, along with ten nieces and nephews and many great and great-great nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, Barbara requested memorial contributions in her memory to the Brooke County Animal Shelter at 797 Mac Barnes Dr., Beech Bottom, WV 26030.
