Barry J. Johnson, 65, of Paris, PA passed away Thursday, January 9, 2014 in the Greenery Specialty Care Center in Canonsburg, PA after a lengthy and brave battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Born on October 18, 1948 in Ebensburg, PA he was a son of the late Date Johnson who died in 1988. He was retired from Weirton Steel Corporation where he worked in the shipping department, proudly served in the US Marine Corp during the Vietnam War, and was a member of the Colliers Sportsmen's Club. Barry is survived by his wife Donna Fodor Johnson to whom he was married for 38 years; a brother William Johnson whose wife Diane of Weirton is the twin sister of Barry's wife Donna; and many wonderful and awesome nieces and nephews and their children. In keeping with Barry's wishes there will be no visitation. Services will be held at the convenience of his family.

  1. Donna, I am sorry to hear of Barry’s passing but relieved knowing he is no longer suffering.I had the pleasure of taking care of Barry for many years when he was hospitalized . He was a wonderful person. Always pleasant ,always patient.May God wrap his loving arms around you af help you to heal .

  4. Barry—-A former neighbor and a classmate at Weir High, Class of 1966. You fought the hard fight for many years. Now may you rest in peace knowing that all those who loved you will always keep you in their hearts.

  7. I worked with Barry on 7 Tandem many years ago. Even though he was fighting the MS he would never allow anyone to help him, even though we wanted to. I never heard him complain and he always did his job even though it was a struggle for him. A braver, better man I have never known. Rest in Peace my friend. Semper Fi.
