Barry William Saunders, 47, of Apopka, FL, formerly of Weirton, WV died Sunday March 2, 2003. He was born on February 12, 1956, in Morristown, NJ, the son of Cleo Gain Pleasants Saunders of Weirton, WV, and the late William Thomas Saunders. Barry was a self employed contractor. He graduated from Brooke High School in 1974. He also attended Dayton University. Surviving, in addition to his mother, is his wife Patrice Lynn Lewis Saunders, whom he married on May 21, 1982. Also surviving includes his two sisters Alicia L. Rinkus, and her husband John, of Yardley, PA and Maureen Saunders of Ohio; his brother, Kevin W. Saunders, and his wife, Donna, of Centerville, OH; his mother-in-law, Mary Jane Gallagher Lewis of Orlando, FL; several nieces and nephews. The Saunders family will be receiving friends for visitation on Friday March 7, 2003, from 2-4 & 7-9 PM, at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV. A memorial mass will be celebrated 10 AM Saturday at Saint Paul Roman Catholic Church, Weirton. Rev. Fr. Tony Thurston will preside.   1. Barry was a dear friend and the godfather of our son Nicholas. We shared many vacations together with Barry and Patrice along with very fond memories over the years. He will be deeply missed in our hearts, we will always remember him.

  2. Barry and I grew up on Marland Heights together and went to school together. Cleo and my parents (Jack & Irene) were friends from the Elks Club. My deepest sympathy to his family.
