Beatrice Thompson, late Wednesday night September 6, 2017, she took off mortal, put on immortality and went to dwell in the House of the Lord. She was born in Morgan County, AL on April 26, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Jimmy King and Helen Ingram. She had moved to Virginia in March 2017, but spent most of her life in the Weirton area. Beatrice was a faithful member of Morning Star Baptist Church in Weirton, WV and shared her faith through many acts of loving kindness to family and friends. She was preceded in death by 5 sisters and 6 brothers. She leaves to cherish her fond memories her brother William Gilchrist of Cortland, AL; nieces Cynthia Coons of East Liverpool, OH, Sylvia (Perry) Mills of Newport News, VA, Brenda (Johnson) Young of Steubenville, OH, Renee Walker of Newport News, VA, Joy Gilliam-Grim of San Antonio, TX and Sandra Stewart of Chicago, IL and nephews Anthony (Jean) Gilliam and Larry Gilliam both of Union, SC. Also remembering her are a host of great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday from 10 AM until the time of the homegoing service at 11 AM at the Morning Star Baptist Church, Weirton. Reverend Willie Nevels, officiating.
