Ben A. Will, 76, of Weirton, died May 28, 2001 at his home. He was born on June 27, 1924, in Weirton, a son of the late Ben A. and Kathleen Patton Will. He was also preceded in death by an infant brother, Joe and two sisters, Helen Kearnes and Janice Bousier. Ben worked as a certified welder and stationary engineer for the water works department of Wheeling Pitt in Mingo before his retirement in 1986. He was also a Metropolitan Insurance Agent. He served his country in the U.S. Army as a Staff Sgt. and a member of the 152nd Signal Corps during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, VFW #2716, and B.P.O.E. # 1801. He is survived by his wife Lois Jennesse Will, whom he married September 29, 1951; two daughters, Kathleen Teresa Will, and Cynthia Ann Will-Lengyel and her husband Thomas; a sister Harriett Smedley, all of Weirton; five grandchildren, Michelle Connell, of Baton Rouge, LA; and Keith Connell, Benjamin Jones, Alexandra Lengyel, and Samantha Lengyel, all of Weirton. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 at Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Prayer services will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be 10 AM Thursday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church. Entombment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens with military services held by the American Legion, VFW, and Tri-State Marine Corps.
