benny arlia
Benny Michael Arlia, 67, of Weirton passed away in his sleep on January 17, 2022. Benny was born in Belmonte Calabria, Italy on May 7, 1954, the first of three children born to Fedele and Rosina (Pulice) Arlia. As an infant child, Benny traveled to America with his mother to join his father in 1954. Benny graduated from high school in 1972 and joined Starvaggi Industries, where he initially worked as a welder and finished his career as a cement truck driver. In life, Benny enjoyed tinkering and building computers, and listening to oldies music. He found enjoyment patronizing local businesses and could often be found in Sheetz and other local eateries socializing with his friends. He loved a good cup of coffee! Benny was a member of Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church. In addition to his parents, Benny was sadly preceded in death by his sister, Barbara M. Hatala. He will be remembered with love by his sister, Diane Arlia Rockwell (Steve); his nephew, Chris and Maegan Hatala; his niece, Courtney Hatala Sperlazza (Craig) and Rosina Arlia Rockwell; and his great nieces and nephews, Christian and Carrigan Hatala, and Henrik, Analei, and Fredrik Sperlazza. Friends and relatives will be received 11 AM until the time of funeral services at 1 PM on Thursday at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home. V. Rev. Dennis R. Schuelkins, Jr., VE will preside.   4. Going to miss you Benny! You always came into Goodwill three four times a day just to see what we had new ! And of course when you seen us you would always say quote “hey boss what’s new” going to miss you Benny you always had time to stop and chat. And always looking for bargain LOL rest in peace dear friend we will all miss you from the Goodwill.

  5. So sorry to hear about Benny. .i met him and his mom 4 years ago. We been talking every nite on the phone from.11 to 1 am. Last we talked was 8 days ago. ..i.kept calling and texting him. No answer. I enjoyed going with him to eat in the holidays. Im lost without him. I miss u soo much Benny. Rest in peace. Love gina
