betty foley
Betty Ann Foley, 83, of Wheeling, WV, passed away on August 23, 2020. Born on July 7, 1937, in Wellsville, OH, Betty was a daughter of the late Richard J. and Thelma Carr Foley. She was also preceded in death by her brother, William Foley, and her sisters, Delores Cronin and Virginia Foley Lacey. Betty served her country in the United States Air Force, where she was Honorably Discharged on September 1, 1961. Most of her career was spent working for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in Dayton, OH. She loved to travel, and she traveled to many different places until her boating accident in the late 1970s. This accident did not get her down. She made the best of her situation never once complaining. Betty will always be remembered as a feisty lady living life on her terms. She will be remembered with love and admiration by her nephew, Brad Cronin, her brother in law, Charles “Chuck” Cronin, formerly of Weirton now residing in Parma, OH; and her niece, Jennifer Boldizsar of Bradenton, FL. At Betty’s request, there will not be any visitation or funeral services conducted. Share tributes and memories at www.grecohertnick.com
